Interview with the Newmans kids about their Mom~ Me

I stole this great idea from a friend's blog and tried it out with my kids this week. Their answers are really great- some funny and some very far fetched. This is March 09~ Autumn is 9 1/2, Shannen 7, Vanson 5 & Tristan 4.




1. What is something Mom always says to you?

Autumn- “Clean your room”
Shannen- “I love you”
Vanson- “ I love you”
Tristan- “Stop doing that… whatever I’m doing that I’m not supposed to”

2. What makes Mom happy?

A- Not bothering her while she cooks or naps
S- When I help her do stuff
V- I don’t know
T- Doing what she says

3. What makes Mom sad?

A- bothering her when she is on the phone…. Or also when she watches the movie Christmas Shoes
S- When we get hurt
V- When I do something bad
T- Not doing what she says

4. How does Mom make you laugh?

A- I don’t know
S- When she says funny things
V- by shaking her hair in my face
T- by saying funny words

5. What is Mom’s favorite thing to do?

A- get on computer
S- go to meetings like MOPs
V- go on dates with Daddy
T- play with me


6. What does your mom do when you aren’t around?

A-computer stuff
S- cooks dinner
V- shop
T- get a babysitter

7. What is Mom really good at?

A- typing fast & catching fireflies
S- math…. & kissing me
V- hoola-hooping on Wii
T- ski jump on Wii

8. What is she not good at?

A- trying to be happy when she gets woken up too early
S- opening stuck things
V- tightrope on Wii
T- penguins (on Wii)

9. What is Mom’s favorite food?

A- sloppy joes
S- sweet beans
V- everything she cooks
T- broccoli and …. Soup!

10. What makes you proud of your mom?

A- she’s a big help with homework and always there for helping us
S- when you win a medal running
V- when you win things on Wii
T- eating spinach pie

11. How are we the same?

A- We’re girls and we both love girls night
S- we both like lima beans
V- we both exercise
T- we have the same nose… & boogers


12. How do you know I love you?

A- b/c you’re my mom and you help us with things and are always available to help us
S- b/c I’m your son
V- b/c you hug and kiss me
T- b/c you like to hug and kiss me

13. What does mom like most about dad?

A- I don’t know… they are perfect for each other
S- he works for our $
V- sometimes he looks cool
T- when he bees home all the time

16. What is her favorite place to go?

A- her room
S- grocery store
V- that’s really hard, I don’t know
T- the pizza place and Chili’s
