Blue Bonnets Galore!!

The Blue Bonnets are out in full force this year- they are sprinkled all along the highway we travel daily and tonight, I finally found a field NOT on the highway so we could take pictures without actually having to endanger the lives of our precious children!! This field by a local church is the most dense I have ever seen them grow- and they were so fragrant!! For those of you not in Texas, I'm posting these for you! Love you guys!!

Poor Tristan has had a tough weekend... along with turning 2, came the independence and determination that led to not one, but two falls directly on his head into the pavement! What a birthday!! More pix soon :)

HOT Sunny Saturday!!

Ok, I'd like to know what happened to Spring?? While we waited for some warmer temps to enjoy outdoor venues like the zoo, it got downright hot! with Greg working all weekend, we took a trip to the zoo... the kids complained the whole time they were soooo hot!! Its a whopping 80 degrees in March- how will they survive the summer temps?? When we got home, they lost their shoes and decided to have some outdoor fun in the shade!

Our little colonial girl!!

Autumn has been waiting all year for this special day in 2nd grade where they get to dress up like the pioneers, eat lunch outside from a bucket, work on slates, write with a feather & ink... you get this picture. We borrowed this dress last week and she pretty much lived in it all weekend with anticipation. The night before, she could hardly sleep. Now that its over, she says she would like to relive that day over and over. This is the log cabin we "helped" her build for this week. :)

Family Bowling Night

We decided to accompany Shannen to a birthday party today so the whole family could enjoy a little bowling! We had a great time. Shannen played with his friends, but I did catch him enjoying the free rock concert included with the game :) Tristan enjoyed the game until he got a whiff of pizza. Vanson scored the highest- that doesn't say much for mine and Greg's score does it??

Mores Coffee!

Tristan loves coffee! I can hardly get through a cup b/c he is constantly begging for "mores coffee please". I'm sure it helps that I drink mine sweet and creamy :) Anyway, out of frustration, I made him his own cup of coffeeMILK. He was in hog heaven that morning!!
